今，只想.. 只想.. 和妳做朋友..

因为我知道，爱，不简单..

Day 7: The reason for everything

It's just so simple. It's all because of Him. They, we, he, her, you and me exist because of His Glory. God made everything all for His glory. Without this glory, there would be nothing.

God's glory is the expression of his goodness and all His other intrinsic, eternal qualities.

Everything around us reflects the glory of God. The creations reveal Creator's glory.

The heavens declare the Glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
Psalm 19:1

The glory of God cannot increase, as it is the maximum. It's just like the sun, we can't make it to shine brighter, can we? But we are told to recognize His glory, honor His glory, declare His glory, praise His glory, reflect His glory, and live for His glory, and it's all because He simply deserves all of these.

You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created,
and have their being.
Revelation 4:11

everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.
Isaiah 43:7

And thus one of the God's purposes on us is that we ought to bring glory to God. It's the greatest achievement that we can accomplish with our lives.

So how do we bring glory to God?
Jesus honored God by fulfilling His purpose on earth. We can do the same way too!
1. We bring God glory by worshiping him. And God wants our worship to be motivated by love, thanksgiving and delight, not duty.

Worship is far more than praising, singing, and praying to God. Worship is a lifestyle of enjoying God, loving Him, and giving ourselves to be used for His purposes.

Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.
Romans 4:13

2. We bring God glory by loving other believers. We should learn how to love as God does, because God is love.

As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.
John 13:34-35

3. We bring God glory by becoming like Christ. Our spiritual maturity is becoming like Jesus in the way we think, feel and act. The more we develop this Christlike character, the more we bring glory to God.

We, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2. Corinthians 3:18

God gave us new life. And now He will continue the process of changing our character. And I think, we should always prepare ourselves for Him to change us, no?

4. We bring God glory by serving others with our gifts. We are blessed with unique talents, skills, gifts and abilities. All these should be used to benefit others, just as others are given abilities to benefit you. Therefore, we ought to use all of these to help others, which is part of our purpose given by God.

5. We bring God glory by telling others about Him. God does not want His love and purposes to be kept secret; He expects us to share it with others. Therefore we should introduce Jesus to others, help them to discover life's purposes, and prepare them for their eternal destiny.

What will we live for then?
Will we live for our own goals, comfort, and pleasure, or will we live the rest of our lives for God's glory, knowing that He has promised us eternal rewards? Just close your eyes, and think: Who will I live for, myself or God? Real life begins by committing yourself completely to Jesus Christ.

To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become the children of god.
John 1:12

Notice the two keywords there?
1. To believe. Believe fully that God loves us and created us for His purpose. Believe after death we will spend eternity with God, if we believe in Him. Believe that God is good, that He forgives you of all the wrong things that you've done, but firstly we must honestly confess and repent. Believe that Jesus were crucified on the cross to wash our sins away.

2. To receive. Receive Jesus into our lives as our Lord and Savior. Receive His forgiveness of our sins. Receive His Holy Spirit, who will give us power to fulfill His will.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.
John 3:36

So my fellow readers, just close your eyes, and say it, "Jesus, I believe in you and I receive you." Do it just as I did it.

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever.
Romans 11:36
