Day 4: Made to last forever

..::*+ Small Talk +*::..
Finally realised that my speaker actually
speaks. No parables here, it voices just come out from it if you turn the volume knob to the minimum. Some sort of physics dealing with wave interference thingy I guess?

Motivations never end! Day 4!

Day 4: Made to last forever

The life that you know might not be the life. How would you define life at the first place? Most people tends to say that life is about living the fullest and achieving great successes on earth. Our lives live and die as soon as the heart beats stops. But I learned that life is not just about what it is on earth - It's all about life on the other side of the death - the eternity.

It might sound like something which is common sense for some people, but how many people really do put effort to understand its meaning? How many of us will really sit down and think - If it is about the eternity, what should we do?

One day we will die. The most we can live is only around 100+ years. And statistics shown that human average lifespan is about 75 years, and it depends on our lifestyle. After that, the word "death" will eventually come to you. This is a fact that no one can deny.

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
2. Corinthians 5:1

Our earthly body is just a temporary "casing", or tent, of our spirit. This tent will someday destroyed (death), and our future "body" in heaven is the house. An life on earth is nothing more than a small parenthesis in eternity. Yet, in this short period of time, we have to be a wise "housing investor". We should make full use of our livings on earth to make investment for the house in heaven, that is, we should build up a good relationship with God.

Your relationship to God on earth will determine your relationship to Him in eternity.
Rick Warren - The Purpose Driven Life

How to build up this incomparable relationship? We need to learn to love and trust God's Son, Jesus for what He had done for us. Then only we can have eternity with God in heaven. Rejecting His love, salvation and forgiveness, you will spend your eternity apart from God.

Always learn to tell God, "Thy will be done," and start to live in light of eternity. And remember:

The closer you live to God, the smaller everything else appears.
Rick Warren - The Purpose Driven Life

Often we look death as something very should-not-be-talked topic, and we always avoiding discussion based on this theme. People will think, "we're still living, why need to think of the Death?" But honestly, who will really know what will happen to themselves in the next few hours? And besides, is "death" really such a taboo?

Death is not your termination, but your transition into eternity.
Rick Warren - The Purpose Driven Life

And thus each of our action will affect our life in eternity. Therefore think about your life after death of your tent. Be prepared always for the your own death. Thus, while living, keep the vision of eternity in everything you're doing. Don't loose the vision. No one on earth has ever experience eternity. For it is written in the Holy Bible:

No eye has seen,
No ear has heard,
No mind has conceived,
What God has prepared for those who love Him.
1. Corinthians 2:9

Forget not too that God's purpose on us is not just bounded on the earth; it also applicable in eternity. God offers us an opportunity beyond our lifetime.

The plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purpose of His heart through all generations.
Psalms 33:11

Death is something scary, something dreadful. But fear not, because:

If you have a relationship with God through Jesus, you don't need to fear death. It is the door to eternity.
Rick Warren - The Purpose Driven Life

So go, and build up a strong and firm relationship with God. Search Him and you surely will find him. And Fulfill His purpose on us. Knowing that we are made to last forever, we should start to think what we should start to do and what we should stop doing it. It will effect our after-life.
